How to block ads on Android (with or without root)
Step#1 Download Adblock Plus for Android.
Step#2 Open the downloaded file, Go to Open File Manger and click the file to Install (first you need to enable Unknown Sources in your Security Settings)

If you have rooted device, it will ask root permission from the SuperUser. Once the permission is granted, you are done.

If you have non-rooted devices you need to manually set up the proxy on your device.
- Open wireless setting
- Touch and hold the connected network until the context menu appears
- Select Modify network
- Check Show advanced options
- Look for Proxy settings below and set it to Manual
- Set Proxy to localhost and Port to 2020

Once everything is configured properly, Adblock Plus will start blocking ads on your phone. You can also set more options in ads filter lists.
