OurMine Hacked Vevo Music Service – Leaked 3.12 TB of Data

This time OurMines target Vevo and successfully breach the security and leak more than 3.12 Tb data from Vevo which is display on OurMines site and removed only by the request from Vevo.

Vevo hit by Cyber Attack

Vevo confirmed hack said the attack done through phishing scam via LinkedIn.They are addressing the issue and investigate it the extent of exposure.

Vevo is famous music and entertainment site on the internet with the joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Abu Dhabi Media, Warner Music Group, and Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc.

According to resources, the 3.12 Tb stolen data include a dossier on 90 artists those are Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Madonna, Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, Florida Georgia Line,  Sia, The Weeknd, and U2.

The group of OurMines is self-proclaimed white hat hackers are responsible for this attack.They are the same hackers who attack high-profile accounts and companies like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Netflix, Marvel, Google CEO  Sundar Pichai, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, HBO and the most recently WikiLeaks.

Reason of hacked – Vevo

As OurMines claimed that before the attack they are under talk with  Vevo’s employee.The hackers basically try to alert them about the security breach. In the exchange, the Vevo’s employee responds “F*** off, you don’t have anything,”.
